<p>does anyone know if they called everyone who got accepted today?</p>
<p>Three students posted on Facebook today who were moved to fall admittance. One did not list her state, but one was from Boston and one from Washington, D.C.</p>
<p>One other student received an e-mail stating he would remain a spring admit. This was in reply to an inquiry.</p>
<p>Ugh… this makes me so mad.

<p>today I got a call and I was asked if I would like to move up to fall for CLAS! I had no idea so I told them I will call them back! My response was stupid, I know, but I’m excited but at the same time I’m so conflicted… yes starting in spring is slightly degrading but like getting GEs out of way and saving money isn’t bad.</p>
<p>I didn’t get a call either…ooo well</p>
<p>keep hanging in there! I think a lot of ppl are going to get bumped up this year bc a lot of students are going to UCs</p>
<p>I should have applied to a larger major… my major is so small that there’s no wiggle room.</p>
<p>Hey so I got the call today as well. I know that I probably didn’t appreciate it like some of you guys would…I guess I had everything figured out and now I have to reevalute everything which sucks. I had picked Northwestern but USC has much of what I wanted in a school. I guess I really couldn’t go wrong either way but I am just struggling right now.</p>

I just checked my voicemail and it was from my regional counselor. I AM SO EXCITED TO GO TO USC IN THE FALLL (CLAS BIOLOGICAL SCIENCESO)! I CANT EVEN SIT STILL RIGHT NOW, I CAN GO PARTY IT UP NOWW!!

If you check the Facebook numbers SC has their class. The target was 2600. Keep in mind there are thousands of applicants from out of the state of California. International student applications were up 10% this year.
Yes, many students will be attending UC universities. You need to look at the big picture, not just those students from your high school. On CC there is a waitlist thread. Harvard, Stanford, Princeton and other Tier I universities are taking from their waitlists this year.</p>
<p>Congratulations to those of you who got the call today (and thanks micL)! You’ll have a wonderful time starting in August because every day is such an adventure and you’re with 2600 excited classmates! But for those of you who feel stuck in spring admit mode, my advice is to try hard to embrace it. My son knows some spring admits who are extremely happy, had no trouble fitting in and meeting people, and had opportunities for time off in the fall. Not such a bad deal.</p>
<p>You’re made a good point Georgia Girl! But I do’t fully understand your point about the Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, etc. What I was just saying is that, because the economy ain’t so great, a lot of people are choosing public universities over private, which would make sense why Tier 1 universities are taking people from their waiting lists! Anyway best of luck to all you guys!!! Either way, we all made it to USC and we’re all future Trojans :D!!</p>

<p>I emailed my regional counselor and she said she knows directors are making calls, but that she has no authority of the process, so she doesn’t know how many others, if any, have yet to be called… but if I was selected, then I would be contacted soon…
So, this gives a mixed message.</p>

<p>At this point your status has not changed. We did have a few students approved to be moved yesterday from a few departments that had room for Fall. We should know the complete list of those able to be moved to Fall by the middle of next week. Ill make sure we notify you either way.</p>
