Any study tips/techniques for the AP World History in 2016?

Since a majority of you sophomores are taking AP World History, here are my words of wisdom. I just took it and I got a 5. I also got over 100% in this class and here’s why. AP World History is a test of effects, NOT memorization. In each era, make sure you know WHY everything happened, why one event led to the next, instead of what happened. For example, ask yourself, “WHY did the industrial revolution happen first in Britain?” INSTEAD of “where did the industrial revolution first happen?” College Board is trying to test your analyzation skills NOT your random knowledge of random facts. Knowing WHY and HOW everything happened will help you on the MC and the FRQs.

I used this thread as the basis of my studying:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/history-social-sciences/1368644-how-to-effectively-self-study-ap-world-history-p1.html Everything this guy says is true!

Here’s how I studied:
Read the Princeton Review once and did practice tests (don’t worry, the mc is harder than the actual test), binged watch getafive.com three times the week before the test (not advised, spread it out a little more), and watched John Green’s Crash Course several times throughout the year. I studied one month in advancedon’t get lazy, study as early as possible

If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask me. I know I received help from a lot of people on this site and I want to return the favor.
