<p>Historically (I mean since around 1999/2000), Vanderbilt had always made a point of emphasis of OVERLOOKING test scores to see the real applicant. The word you probably hear most often being associated with Vanderbilt admissions is the “holistic” aspect of the process. Who knows if they’ve made a change, but I don’t believe they would have too much.</p>
<p>Another thing is that, for one reason or another, a lot of Vanderbilt varsity athletes (i.e. football) used to apply to Peabody. It’s ironic since Peabody is such a good school, but that most likely helped contribute to the low test scores. They may have started spreading the athletes out to all the schools.</p>
