<p>acarey617-don’t worry. it looks like it didn’t matter. I actually think it is a flag to schools you are interested in that you may progress to semi-finalist. It seems like there aren’t any great benefits to being commended (scholarships, etc.) except the label.</p>
<p>Someone asked if my son’s 4.0 was weighted and it is not. He attends a very small private school that USC has probably never heard of so maybe that’s why they didn’t pay more attention to him.</p>
