Anybody know how many freshman are in the Honors College each year?

Since about 61% of all (all = 5,738) 2012-2013 Fall enrolled freshmen have a GPA (out of 4.0) of 3.75 or higher (this comes out to around 3,500 freshmen) I’d estimate about 25% (or less) of those students are offered the University Scholarship of $9,600. That would be an estimate of about 875 students.

Since we are talking about enrolled students here, virtually all would attend.

By the way - it’s an Honors “Program” not a “College”. Generally, schools which offer a high quality curriculum don’t need to focus resources into a special college to attract the best students. At FSU the Honors Program offers enrichment for basic classes and inroads into undergrad research opportunities. After basic classes students can embark on the Honors-in-the-Major path, which fits in with research opportunities.
