AGuzman,
I transferred into Amherst and my high school grades were terrible. The catch is I am a non-traditional student and high school was a long time ago for me. According to the admissions rep I spoke to during my application period, the amount of weight placed on your high school transcript varies relative to your age. Typically, unique life experience, combined with two strong years at another college or university, makes up for (or completely erases) a poor high school transcript. In my case, I did not even have to submit my high school transcript.
