<p>I don’t think it’s possible to get in without a status change… I really don’t know though. Status changes are automatically updated when your application moves through certain departments so it automatically changes from “forwarded” to “being reviewed” once your applications moves through, say, the office of whoever oversees the mailing of application materials. So unless your portal had a glitch in it or something, I really don’t think it would be normal to get in without a status change.</p>
