<p>Probably too late for you to consider for this reunion but maybe for your next one. We had a reunion in the spring of this year and combined it with 4 other graduating classes to form a five year reunion. We all have people that we hung around with who were not in our class and it was really great to get the opportunity to see some of them.</p>
<p>The class before ours had almost 400 at their reunion…our did too…and the class after us about the same number. With these HUGE baby boom high school classes…combining would mean over a thousand at a reunion. </p>
<p>I will say…having a reunion weekend with things happening throughout was nice…tour of our school, little mini get togethers around town, an event Friday and another Saturday…really made the trip so much fun.</p>
<p>I have enjoyed being facebook friends with high school classmates I barely even knew back then. One of the girls (women) was Goth before they called it that. Really teased hair, always wore black etc. Well, she is just the loveliest and fun person as an adult and we are all enjoying her. She said people were so mean to her in high school and that she felt so insecure… It is fun to hear people’s impressions of you back then and compare it to your OWN reality!</p>
<p>We had our 40th 2 years ago. Before the reunion I looked at both the HS and middle school yearbooks just to refresh my memory. It was interesting that I remembered the elementary school/middle school classmates more than the HS ones; my HS had 1200 students per class when I started and had 4 middle schools plus the parochial schools as feeders. We had a DJ who played 60’s music (top 40 & soul because of our school’s demographics); one of the organizers created a CD which we all got with songs just from our years (65-68), which is great driving music. We had been asked to send in a bio page with a current picture ahead of time which was put into a book we got at the event. It would have been nice to get the book ahead of time so that we could cover a lot a ground quickly. I’m not on Facebook but there was an effort afterwards to get a group together.</p>
