<p>I just figured out that the picnic with the dachshund races is the same day as UCSBs spring insight… they don’t seem to have an overnight (either, from my perspective.) Well huh. I was hoping they could get more of a flavor of the places before they decide. I agree orientation is good, but that is after the decision would be made. Oh, well. Not absolutely sure if we will do decision day, I’ll talk to my sons. A lot of it looks similar to what we did when we went up for the tour, although there are added things, and neither of their majors is ‘showcased’, just an open house for Letters and Sciences (although that might be helpful since one of my sons would like some information on internships in the state capital). By then they’ll have heard from everyone and will be able to focus on their selection between offers, also.</p>
