Well, technically, intellect is a noun, it just sounds weird in that context. I typically think of intellect and “brain” or “mind” being analogous, like: I have a very large intellect.

and findis, I felt that way about a LOT of my essays, etc.
Me: “Whoa, that was such a sweet closing sentence.”
Adcom: “Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm no.”

My two qualities were honesty and compassion, too, but I worded it differently: “The qualities I admire most in other people are honesty and compassion, because both qualities indicate empathy and respect for other human beings.”

I loved the short answers, because I thought it was the only space where I could be myself and just play around a little.

For the ‘what are you most proud of’ question, I put something like “I’m proud of my extensive knowledge of Broadyway tunes and the ability to correlate whatever situation to a song.” or something. :)

“People don’t remember me for the intelligence that radiates from my person, and easily forget the blinding effect that comes from my superior intellect. Anyone who approaches me is blown away. But before they blow away in their blindness, they remember my humor…”
