<p>We donated a perfectly good running station wagon which I probably could have sold for between $1K-$1500. It was parked at work and I had a note for the driver to ring me to pick up the key. I came out after work and it was just gone. They just hauled it away, probably for the scrap iron. I’ve regretted it ever since. The car could have been useful to someone and all I got for it was a small deduction. Very unsatisfying. Since then I’ve always sold my cars. </p>
