My D went a couple weeks ago–not on a special visit day–and she really liked it. She was afraid it wouldn’t feel diverse, either, but her impression was, lots of different types of students. Talked to a few profs and liked what she heard about academics, which are very important to her. She’s seriously considering it.

We live in a large, midwestern city in a liberal/diverse area; she thought she’d feel more at home in a big city or NE…a counselor recommended CofC, so she applied, more as a back-up really. However, she was pleasantly surprised. After the visit it went from a distant possibility to a frontrunner. Didn’t hurt that it was beautiful and warm and by the ocean.

Still waiting on a couple RD schools before final decision.
