Anyone recieve fin aid package?

Thanks. Was going to wait for Monday, but we got a hard copy in the mail today. It wasn’t the worst aid pkg. she got (that “honor” goes to Providence), but neither was it the greatest. Thankfully, her #1 school gave her a wonderful pkg., as did our state school. Actually kind of bummed about our state school, but not for the reason you might think. We already knew she had free tuition, but the school has a fair amount of fees. I had expected the free tuition to be the total extent of her non-loan aid, which would have made the cost close to what her #1 choice will be. But…when we got the state school pkg. Friday, it included about $4000 in grant money, which makes it quite a bit less expensive than her first choice. I think she will probably attend the other school, though, as it is a much better fit.

If your student chooses to attend Marist, I hope they enjoy the gorgeous view of the Hudson from the library often. That was the best!
