Anyone take a Jeopardy! online test this week?

Thanks for posting, Scipio! I think I mentioned on the earlier thread how impressed I am by anyone who manages to be a five-time winner on Jeopardy! As I recall, you replied with some modest disclaimer–but still, it is extremely impressive!

Oh, also, thanks for alerting Scipio, Maine Longhorn!

Anyone here get a live audition? I did one in Philadelphia. It was actually a lot of fun.

S got a live audition in New York. He had a fun time as well. Now he waits up to 18 months to see if he gets a call to actually be on the show.

S tried out a few times in college. He wasn’t chosen. :frowning: I suspect he may have done well, as long as they didn’t do too much on movie stars and similar trivia.

He has won money from the 10Q trivia game and plays that regularly.

According to S, the Jeopardy folks told his group that only 4% of online test takers do well enough to get a live audition (and there’s a 1 out of 6 chance of actually getting on the show). I guess S didn’t get any bible or opera questions online.

I didn’t actually think the online test was that difficult, and the 50-question paper test they gave us all at the audition wasn’t that difficult either. I think they care a lot about things like demographics – different ages, hometowns, etc.

I had a live audition last year and my middle child has had 2 (as a kid and a teen). Neither of us has the desire to actually be on the show. For me, just getting the live audition fulfilled my bucket list. I am satisfied with playing the actual game in my living room.
