<p>Cappex may say that they help you earn merit $$, but in the end it’s no different than colleges mailing you directly asking you to enroll with the promise of $$ (which of course there are numerous loopholes and such, because how much money is freely floating out there these days???) </p>
<p>Even so, any chancing sites – even the “What’s My Chances?” section here on CC are highly inaccurate, because even us CCers don’t have a full picture of who you are as a student, much less a machine. Plus, UChicago gives so much emphasis on your essays. Btw who really knows what is going on in that ADCOM room when they “debate” on your app?? </p>
<p>I personally prefer to think that they just randomly sort out the files into separate stacks then accept and reject each stack one by one, but every admission officer in the country will deny this.</p>
