Anyone watching Breaking Bad?

Emeraldkity4- I’m with you in having trouble suspending my disbelief if a story is not well told, particularly in the area of character development. In this case, I have enjoyed watching how not only external circumstances, but also underlying personality traits become manifest as the series progresses. Both the teacher and other major players may be more comfortable with living on the edge than most, and how it is rationalized and embraced over time is fascinating to me. Start at the beginning. Very interesting show.

My husband and I watched several episodes (from the beginning) and just could not get into it at the time. It was SO dark I got depressed after every episode; right now we are watching all of the Deadwoods, and this one I also tried to watch at one point, was completely bored, but now I love it (and really appreciate the writing). Maybe after reading all these reviews I need to try BB again?..no, I don’t think I could do it! (yet I love “Dexter” and that can be dark also…)

I haven’t watched Dexter although I liked Michael Hall in Six ft under.
I am just finishing up Foyles War & waiting for Doc Martin & 30Rock to start up again.
I did watch the pilot & will watch a few more before I decide whether to continue.
( but listening to him cough is painful)
It seems to be filmed in real time? ( the pilot ended with Walter & his wife in bed & the 2nd episode opened with them still in bed)
