GeekMom, or anyone… do you have any experience with arranging for a homeschooled student to take AP exams on the late testing date? I have a young gymnast heading into high school and recently discovered that JO Nationals are always the first week in May, leading to a conflict with the first week of AP testing pretty much every year. According to the AP website, that is acceptable as an excuse for late testing with an extra fee, but I am concerned about how high schools are likely to view offering him the exams, especially when the final national qualify is in April, long after tests need to have been ordered.
