ap bio credits for engineering student

Look at the following chart.

[Transfer Credit Center | Advanced Placement Exams (AP)](http://www.tce.umd.edu/apchart.html)

You’ll get credit hours towards the Core life sciences, as 33dmjjm says. Orbit may say it is useless because you’ll be required to take science classes (including lab classes) already as an engineering major. However, the additional hours bumps up your priority for lots of things at UMD which are done in order by credit hours. I know that both D’s (who had a boatload of AP credits coming in) have registered far ahead of their classmates who didn’t have any credits. Engineering may do registration scheduling differently, and not in order of credit hours, but I think most other schools do.
