<li><p>Yes. During the summer all freshman take a placement test for writing, math and foreign language, so you could be placed in a higher level class without taking the AP test. <li><p>If you are currently taking an AP foreign language class, it certainly makes sense to take the AP test. Ditto with the AP Calc AB/BC exam. The rest you could probably skip, unless it was in an area that you are really interested in pursuing during college.</p></li>
