<p>Prices are also based upon the number of credits taken:</p>
<p>From 6 to 11 units (lowest tuition and fees)
12 to 17 units (normal tuition and fees)
18 units or more (I think 21 units is the max) (higher tuition and fees).</p>
<p>Generally, freshman need approval from the Dean of their school to take more than a certain number of units per semester.
(I think it’s 18 or over that you need the approval, but I’m not positive about the number).</p>
<p>As rrah said, 15 is considered normal–although a student would need to average 15.5 per semester to graduate from most programs (124 total units)</p>
