<p>I read “any student who receives permission from the Economics Department to skip 14.01 and/or 14.02…” as indicating that you must petition the economics department for permission – they do not grant automatic credit for 14.01/2 for AP exams.</p>
<p>It’s possible that the department may allow you to take advanced standing exams, or to provide some other evidence of your mastery of the subjects.</p>
