AP Music Theory - Self Studying

Is it doable? I’ve read around many new and old threads in this section gathering information about the course. And it seems like a very challenging yet rewarding course. But in the end, is this a course that is manageable to self-study and score a 4/5 on the APs?

I’ve been a clarinet player for seven years, so I’d say I have a decent knowledge of music. I also learned a little bit of piano from my mom, so I know how to read both treble and bass clefts. And I know all the basic major and minor chords.

However, my ears are absolutely terrible. I’ll probably devote more time during the summer working on this. Anyways, the question comes down to this: With basic background knowledge, Can I self-study AP Music Theory and pull of a decent grade?

Thanks in advance.
