AP Thread Discussion: Macroeconomics

2005 AP Macroeconomics Scale:
71-90 = 5
53-70 = 4
43-52 = 3
31-42 = 2
0-30 = 1

So anything over a 71 is a 5. :)

it was definitly HARD!!! omg i studied for three weeks too!!

I bombed the Macro FR, and felt reasonably confident about the Micro FR - I made up one or two formulas, mixed up one effect for another … pretty weak. I’m lucky if I scored 50% on the Macro FR, but I feel better about the Micro. MC on both was pretty strong, I think I missed twenty at most on both.

I screwed up on half of the last problem for the free response. Ugh.

If I messed up how I drew one of the graphs on the Macro FR but answered the question correctly, how many points will I likely miss?

is the 48 hour thing 48 hours after 12 or 48 hours of the day we took it?

whoa, that 71/90 is pretty tough. that really doesnt give you a whole lotta room for error. (since if you think about it, missing one part on a free response could cost you like 6 or 7 points, and its tough to miss less than 5 on mult choice).

FR, every singel quqestion as in 1 2 3 i made some mistakes…assuming 10 wrong/omit in MC, im already borderline for 5…
how come the curve is so bad!

bbbbbbahhahahaa. I love this. I did pretty well on the MC, amazingly well on the first essay question but I think im going to get fat 0’s on the last two essays. OH GOOD GOD, PLEASE GIVE THIS YOUNG ECONOMIST A 4!

hey is anyone still on AIM discussing the test?!?!

is the first FRQ worth 50% while the other 2 are 25% each?

or is it distributed by mark? numerator/denominator to calculate the 33.33%?

I 2nd nazzy’s question!! Because i balled on questions 1 and 3 but realized i got 2nd backwards. I think I drew the graph right though so maybe I can salvage some points from it!!!

Yes. #1 = 50%, #2+3 = 25% each.

TIME UP!!

Discuss FRQ!!!

i remember the main one was on foreign trade

The first one was on the Fed and interest rate, the second one was on foreign trade and investment based upon foreign exchange. The third question was based upon money creation and the money multiplier.

I thought the MC for Macro was incredibly easy finished with 15 min. left, I mixed a few things up on the FRQs but overall I think I got a 5

For Micro, I thought that the MC was a little bit harder than Macro, there were 3 or 4 questions that I wasn’t sure on, and I took up the whole time alotted. The FRQs were so easy on Micro, I finished with 25 min. to spare. I’m pretty sure I got a 5

anyone think the curve will be lower than 70?

Hey guys, I am thinking to take an ap macroeconimcs class this upcoming year. is it easy or hard? any advise will be helpful.:)
