AP Thread Discussion: Macroeconomics

yup, 25 is B because nominal increased by 2 percent and while inflation is 1 percent, there needs to be something else to account for the other 1 percent increase, which would be real interest rate

Hey, can anyone answer how exactly each FRQ is weighted to add up to 30 out of the 90 total points. Because if you just add up the points it equals about 27 points. Do you just multiply by a 30/27 multiplier?

Never mind I figured it out.

No, the first question is 50% of 30 points, or 15. The second and third questions are 25% of 30 points, or 7.5. So, to figure out each part, take the number of points you got right, divide it by the total number of points on the question, then multiply by 15 for the first question or 7.5 for the second and third questions.

Good luck!

Im off to take the test.

■■■■, I thought it was really hard at first, but then it got better. I didn’t have 100% certainty when I was answering questions, but I looked up my answers and they are so far right and stuff. FRQ was a *****, however, looked up if I did most of it right, and I guess it’s okay. I’m hoping I pass, really. But a 3 would definitely make me sad, even though I feel like I got a 3. AHHH!! Time for Micro!!!

I thought that test seemed alright, on my first-pass on the MC i did 52/60 and ended up answering 59/60 but probably got 5-10 wrong

That was the easiest AP I’ve taken so far lol.
Answered 57/60. MC was pretty good.
I was done with the FRQ in 30 minutes but made a mistake in #1 so I had to redo most of that problem that took 10 minutes. -_-

Overall, I think I got a 5, and a 4 at the least.

I found it very difficult.

cries

Found Macro to be surprisingly a little more difficult than I expected, I answered 45/60 on my first go through, and finished the test, narrowing most down to two and taking an educated guess. FRQs were kind of a surprise to me too, especially the first one.
I actually found Micro easier, which is an even bigger surprise.

I thought Micro was much harder than Macro. I answered all the MCQs for both micro and macro, but took nearly twice as much time for Micro as I did Macro.

Thought it didn’t question stuff that I thought would be on the test FOR SURE! Idk, I skipped like 5-6. So I answered 54-55. That’s not too much is it? That’s the most I’ve ever skipped on an AP exam. And I’m at 8 as of today. I thought I got the concepts backwards and was scared I had things backwards. But it ended up being alright. Micro was EASY!!!

I thought that the multiple choice was incredibly easy. I answered 50-53 with complete certainty and the remaining questions with varying degrees of certainty, but I did answer all of them. The FR questions were a bit harder, and I’m sure I’ll be docked a few points on each question, but overall I think did fairly well on them. I’m pretty sure I got a 5.

I thought the multiple choice was amazingly hard (in comparison with a perfect score, anways). Much harder than the released versions of this test. I answered all of the questions but was not sure about like 8-10 and know for sure I missed 1.

^that’s 4 successive posts beginning with “I thought…”. Haha

Yeah, for Econ it kind of feels like you need a 100% which you don’t, so maybe that’s why I’m so worried. The fact that there’s a curve hasn’t hit me yet. lol

Screwitlah: Stalker much? Lmao

I thought the test was extremely easy…i may have missed some points on FRQs because I may have got some concepts wrong…but otherwise, i’m shootin for a 5

When I took the PR practice exam I got like 5 wrong. This time I think it’s a lot more for today’s test. Is that still okay for a 5 you think?? Seemed like lots of educated guesses, some certainty on some, and like a couple I was like, I’ve never even heard of this before!!

ugh i missed stuff on the FRQs for both tests :-P

i thought macro MC was pretty easy, especially since i kinda started teaching myself a week ago
