Long term causes included the uneven distribution of wealth in the 1920’s, extensive buying on credit, overproduction of goods, and poverty of the farmers. In retrospect, the 1920’s gave American’s a false sense of security and wealth. </p></li>

Grant, eventually replaced McCllelan as general/leader of the Potomac. The strategy, like a snake, wanted to strangle the south.</h2>
