appeals process?

I had applied as a Chem Major, so when I got rejected, I decided I needed to send them something that showed I really had something to offer the science department. I had won Reserve Grand Champion of the County Science Fair, so I sent McGill my entire science fair project report along with a letter of recommendation from my science teacher that had overseen the project. I actually sent an e-mail as soon as I was rejected to the Dean of the Science Department; I think this probably got their attention. They were really good with e-mail correspondance and told me exactly what I needed to do in the appeals process. They made their decision very quick too–definitely give it a shot! So yeah, send them something you’ve done that corresponds to the area you want to study.

And after this huge success story…I didnt’ even go to McGill. My parents decided it was too far away and made me attend a state school which I absolutely hate. So now that they’ve realized how much I hate it here, they’re letting me try to transfer (which isn’t easy–McGill expects very high grades in the rigorous Chem classes). So basically I’m awaiting a rejection once again.
