So if we get an acceptance letter can we still sign up for housing/get in the FIGs we want without accepting the actual offer until all of our other college letters come in and we compare fin aid packages? or is it the people who accept their admission offers first get first choice? Thank you!

Thanks for these questions.

First off, called the admissions office and very helpful. Didn’t get high school transcript yet.

Also eased my mind about housing. Said not to worry until February at the earliest.

Now, someone above mentioned a Walters Scholar. What is that?

Also, anyone know about deadlines/requirements for honors programs and if there’s special housing for that?

Thanks for any info.

The Walter Williams Scholars program is only for Journalism program. The information is here: [Missouri School of Journalism: The Journalism Scholars and Walter Williams Scholars Programs](Walter Williams Awards – Missouri School of Journalism)

The deadlines/requirements for honors programs is here: [MU Honors College: Welcome to the MU Honors College](http://honors.missouri.edu/)

There is also special housing for FIGs, click on a dorm name link and scroll down to see the Figs and Learning communities: [Department of Residential Life](http://reslife.missouri.edu/housing2/index.htm)

Thanks for the link, Tori. Engineering major here. Will check out Honors and Figs. Interested in the Men in Engineering dorm. Anyone lived there? Is it hard to get in?

I don’t have any information on the engineering, sorry!
