Applying Early Action

@joan52:
To echo Spike511, JMU does have something for most everyone, including those who don’t follow sports. It’s the football games that draw the big crowds; the other sports have loyal followings, but decidedly smaller. But even if a student is not into football, the games provide an outlet for students (as well as alumni and parents) to show their school spirit and have fun with tailgating and such. Beyond sports, JMU has plenty. I’d emphasize the new Performing Arts Center, which serves as the hub for many clubs and organizations related to the performing arts, both formal and informal. There are plenty of other clubs and organizations…really, something for everyone (to be redundant). As a sidenote, I’ll say that my son became much more interested in the school sports scene since entering JMU, moreso than he was in HS, due to the school spirit aspect of it.
