Applying UCLA as undecided to improve chances?

If you want to do Computer Science (CS), apply to Electrical Engineering (EE). Compsci had ~9% acceptance rate this year, EE was between 20 and 30. After getting into EE, you can focus on Computer Engineering (CE) within EE, which requires taking CS 31,32,33, Math 31ab,32ab,33ab, chem 20a, eng comp 3, and physics 1abc as an underclassman (those are btw, the EXACT same classes that CS/CSE majors have to take as underclassmen). If you do well in these classes, you can easily switch to CS major since you’re already in HSSEAS (that’s really important–transferring from Letters and Sciences is MUCH harder, especially for CS). If you do poorly in those classes, then 1) you probably weren’t cut out for CS anyway and 2) you can still get good money from CE, for which you’re on track to finish anyway. Anyway, just my 2 cents…
