<p>To become a licensed architect one needs a professional degree, either a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture. Though it’s faster to get the BArch (5years), she can go to the other school to do undergraduate study in a different field, and then do graduate work at a school where she can get the MArch (programs generally range from 2-3.5 years). She does not need to have her undergrad degree in architecture in order so receive a MArch.</p>
