i know Wheaton doesn’t give bad financial aid

havardhotie … are you an English major?

Westminster ¶ has both academic scholarships and Presbyterian scholarships. Great FA. Denison in Ohio, a once Baptist U, now quite secular has super FA for good students. Only Tier 1 LAC in top 5 among FA awarding institutions each of past 5 years.

Work study pays most of tuition.

Lipscomb seems to have many full ride type scholarships.

I am not aware of any “full ride” academic scholarships at Lipscomb. My daughter got a Presidential Scholarship (I think 75% tuition) and then received one of five Trustee Scholarships from Lipscomb. Not a full ride, but full tuition. She just has to pay room and board and fees. The Trustee Scholarship will apply when she is in Vienna for a semester Stats: ACT 32, GPA 4.29 on a 4.0 scale, student council president, etc.
She is happy there, loves Nashville, and I agree with previous posts that the campus is in a very nice area.

When I was looking for a college that had accessible academic scholarships, I was very pleased with the offerings at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. My son qualified for the Centennial Scholarship. The requirements are 32-34 on ACT. It is only tuition, so he has worked some during school (2 nights a week) and taken a few loans his first year and a half, but he is aiming not to take any more. He lives off campus now to cut more expenses.

I especially appreciated that there was no “limit” to the number who can receive, minimum GPA, or application process. You get the scholarship with the score, period.

Harding University in Arkansas also offers similar scholarships, and when I was there, (I earned full tuition with a 31), and full ride for National Merit Scholars.

I think you should also consider the environment, reinforcement of your values in the classroom, and the potential to meet a Christian mate.

College of the Ozarks is in Missouri just so you know. I’ve heard it’s pretty good but they don’t have a wide variety of majors. I couldn’t find but one that I was considering and that was English. Liberty university gives out full rides for 35-36 ACT too. Of course, that’s a crazy good and hard score to achieve. I’m thinking of going there and they have a large variety of majors. Plus, I kind of see it as, if God wants you to be at a Christian college,he’s going to help you get there.
