Are you stocking up on something ahead of tariffs? No politics please

I’m still working off our Covid stash.

Pickleball shoes and running shoes, mostly because I like to have an extra pair around, but figured with tariffs I would make sure to get them.
We did buy furniture several weeks ago, but it had nothing to do with tariffs.

Running shoes for me, Keen hiking shoes (which are his daily shoe) for my husband. I would like a new range/oven and a new sofa, but they’re not needs and our current ones will likely last years more. We tend to buy quality items and keep for many years/decades.

I regularly shop at an Asian supermarket where the majority of products are imported. I will stock up on some items.

The small, local furniture and housewares store I visited today is worried about the impact of tariffs on the prices they can charge.

I bought vanilla at Costco ($9.99/16 oz) remembering how the cost shot up the last time there was a shortage.
Nespresso pods

My haircare is all made in the US, but cosmetics are all imported, so I’ll check to see what I’m getting low on.

My iPhone is a 12, so looking at replacing it sooner rather than later. Apple was exempted from increased tariffs the last go-around, but who knows this time.

No purchases planned at the current time.

I’m in that camp of buying less so that if we have to pay more for some things it’s less painful.

I bought another stash of Family-masks.com ultra masks. They’re my favorite because they’re protective while being breathable. I felt get really help us minimize infections.

We are on the waitlist for a new car, but we will see. Mine works fine and H’s mechanic has canceled plans to move to NV.

Computers, phones, and other electronics are now free of the retaliatory tariffs.
