<p>I’d suggest looking through other threads about international students as well.</p>
<p>Even though I will be a first year student this coming year and don’t know from first-hand experience, I don’t think you should have much trouble making friends. Plenty of transfers come to UNC and assimilate and it seems like most out of state students come here without knowing anyone else. Coming for just second semester is different, but you really should be fine. </p>
<p>My father is from Argentina (Buenos Aires) and people loved his accent when he came to the US. Until he opened his mouth, you couldn’t tell he was a foreigner. I suspect you’ll have similar experiences. </p>
