<p>07PETKO, I am almost positive that Mr. Bellino’s actions were not performed in a void. Probably something provoked him. It brings to mind AF’s boorish behavior in the waning moments of this year’s AF/Navy game. Is it just possible that AF has a long history of poor sportsmanship?</p>
<p>eagle36, you are absolutely correct. On another thread, I thanked AF for winning for this very reason. Subsequent to this, though, some of your members began making light of our victory over ND.</p>
<p>As Air Force officers, if you haven’t commenced already, you will be playing a lot of golf. May I pass on an old adage which, on the golf course, I live by. Never make fun of your opponent’s tee shot until after you have hit your own. Making light of the difficulty of our victory over ND the week prior to your playing them seems a little cocky to me. Rest asssured, I will be the first to remind you of your remarks should ND come through next week and beat you. And yes, of course, I am setting myself up for some serious crow eating. As a fellow SA grad, I am sure the remainder of the week will be consumed with the thoughts of had I rather “crow” or “eat crow”. At this point, may the best team win.</p>
