Art transfer to UCLA?

This was the note I got back from a counselor at UCLA today…

"Thanks for your interest. To answer your first question, it is possible to be admitted to the Art program with a portfolio of photographic work. However – I should point out that the program is a BA in Art, and students complete required studio coursework in a range of media, not just photography. I will include a link with more information at the bottom of this message. As for prep for the major coursework, we evaluate prior coursework as possible substitutions for our own (lower division ) major requirements in the Summer after admission. If there are courses missing, then you would need to complete those here. "

So I’m still nervous about the whole thing. I mean, she’s implying I’ll be taking a lot of other art classes, and well, I’m a photographer not a painter. I can draw a mean stick figure. I need to decide by next week because Fall classes are filling quick. I would hate to take all these art major prereqs and not get in because I suck at studio coursework or some other arbitrary reason. I mean 25 out of 200 is telling me something, but what? Why didn’t 175 transfer student get accepted?
