<p>Thanks, mythmom. My son graduated this June from Chicago with an art history degree (with general and departmental honors, of course!), and has been working as an intern at the ICP. Graduate school probably lies in his future, although not this year or next. And since it’s an unpaid internship, he’s still at home, dividing his time between me and my ex. Kind of like high school, except no curfew!</p>
<p>I passed along some of what you’ve said in this thread to a good friend of mine in her mid-30’s, not married, who’s an English professor at a college in NYC, up for tenure next year, and loves it, but also feels, and always has, the same very deep need to have children that you talked about, and she told me that what you said very much resonated with her. Even though she’s getting very anxious about how she’s going to manage it financially.</p>
