I think it’s grammatically correct! But I could be wrong.

If you could have any one wish granted, what would it be? (and “I would get in to UChicago” doesn’t count because it just doesn’t, cuz i said so.)

for more wishes

was that legal?

I always wondered why people in stories don’t just wish for infinite wishes…must be some sort of unspoken understanding that it is illegal…

how many applications do you have left to do?

Five, but two are literally on the vege of being done. And I only have one brand new long essay left. Now that I’m done rationalizing, does anyone miss Futurama?

aww, I doooo! I love Futurama. I watch the reruns, still, even though I’ve seen them all.

are your parents more or less freaked out than your are about your college apps?

Less.

Man I love Futurama too. Way more than the Simpsons (even when they used to be good). I’ve heard that they’re releasing 3 straight-to-dvd Futurama movies. Does anyone else know anything about it?

Much less. They believe that wherever I get in is the right place for me, but I desperately want to get into my top choices. God, I want to go to U of C.

Did you like The Departed? (random I know, but I love that movie)

I liked the quote “I don’t want to be a product of my environment, I want my environment to be a product of me.”

Did you happen to see Rent and like it?

I loved Rent! Some parts are a bit cheesy, but it’s incredibly good.

Favorite physics constant?

Hmm…I’ll go with good ol’ g.

Favorite person/random thing mentioned in the song La Vie Boheme (from Rent)?

Either huevos rancheros or the curry vindaloo haha. Pablo Neruda and the Beats would be up there too. I really liked the dance they did during this when I saw the tour.

Favorite fictional animal?

Dragon.

Favorite genre of music?

Cheesy late 80s / early 90s hip-hop, a la A Tribe Called Quest-- it never fails to make me grin. Or, possibly, French rap, for much the same reason.

Favorite character on House?

I don’t watch it.

kelsiface: Do you know the French rap “La tribu de dana” by Manau?
Anyone else: Favorite kind of cheese?

I don’t know,really don’t know ?

So, anyone getting excited that the decisions are coming soon ??

my anxiety has been replaced with outrage.

How will you spend the weekend (yeah, the weekend you were going to spend celebrating) waiting for the decision?

working on my ****ing Humanities project.

pooping and eating

Why is Cheetos?

well, one cheetos has a cheese flavour… and all smell of toes, and there you go! cheetos!
i don’t really like it, but if serious people like my sis, andy roddick and my best friend love it, i guess i’ll just keep quiet.

i’ll ask a practical question: how many days is it natural to wait until your counselor from UChicago answers your mail?
and just so that the person after me doesn’t feel cheated, hmmmmm, well, what is your fav US band (if any hhahah)

Hmm, well, I don’t really know the right answer to that first question-- I’ve never actually had cause to email mine-- but I’d give him or her at least a few: this is probably their second busiest week of the year, besides regular decision, er, decision time. That said, though, I suppose it would really depend on what I was emailing him or her for. If it’s something really urgent, I’d try to get in contact before that; if it’s less so, I’d wait a bit. The counselor probably has dozens of emails to respond to from other candidates and piles of work to do besides that (or rather, screens, now they’re doing everything electronically?).

Um, anyway, that was wordy. Sorry. To answer the other question, these days that would probably be the Raconteurs-- admittedly, though, I’m the wrong person to ask that. I don’t listen to a whole lot of American musicians (my tastes tend to run towards the British side of things when it comes to pop and rock), and those that I do listen to generally aren’t part of a band.

And to writonthetransom-- I hadn’t heard of it before, but at the prompting of your question, I youtubed it and watched the video. Most bizarre thing ever! Things like that are exactly why French language rap makes me grin. Have you ever heard Cheb Tarik’s ‘L’histoire’? I love it-- most random English bridge in it ever, and the cheesiest beat. He’s a rai musician, actually, but it’s worth a listen.

Anyway, to finish this longest post ever in this game-- sorry!-- here’s my question:

Do you really think Russian literature is as depressing as most make it out to be? If you’ve not read any, what’s your favorite flower?
