no, not at all. Not everyone wants to sacrifice their GPA. :D

What are you majoring in?

linguistics

If you get accepted to Chicago, are you definitely going?

Not if I get accepted to Brown…and it’s not actually because I like Brown more, but I want to get an MBA, and I figure there’s always the chance to attend Chicago for that, but if I get into Brown now and pass it up, I’ll never be able to go. I’d also weigh Chicago against Wesleyan before committing…those are my top three.

I like these questions:

If you get accepted to Chicago, are you definitely going?

YES

…the only others on my list that can even compete are Penn, MIT, and Brown… and seriously, if I do get accepted to Chicago the only other school that I’d even consider is MIT. Chances are, I won’t get in. So I’m up to my chin in anxiety for that thick envelope to come in December…

What do you think of Northwestern? =P

i love it because my mom went there but i hate the atmosphere and the kids…

Yes - Princeton

Is anyone else thinking about not bothing with financial aid cause it looks too hard to fill out?

No, I know I won’t get any so I’m not bothering to fill it out.

What is your least favorite school that you are applying to because you have to?

i dont have to apply to any. i made my list and i like it.

University of Texas - Austin…too close to home and too many people I know.

How often are you planning on coming back to visit your family while in college?

No idea. It depends on where I go.

About how much are you going to end up spending on applying to college alone? (app fees, postage, SATs, etc…)

$1992, roughly (the 2 is from APs)

What made your first choice school your first choice?

The fact that it is the happiest school on Earth and that I could never go there to get my MBA, whereas most every other school has a graduate business school.

Good question: What made your first choice school your first choice?

nice i was typing a response on the last page then realized page 114 had started but i copy pasted in case this happened.
pomona is a beautiful campus, the consortium is awesome, and i love the student body and atmosphere. uva is cheap (instate even though i live in MA), great school, pretty cool environment, lots of options.

what made your 1st choice school your first choice? what is it?

Johns Hopkins. Because I’m a totaly science/med nerd. And I’m playing with the idea of biomed engineering. It’s an excellent school. I don’t know anyone who’s like me in the sense that I get way excited about biochemistry and neuroscience. Hopkins will have a lot of those people.

How many safeties are you applying for?

2

Are you doing ED/EA? To which school(s)?

Chicago. Duh.
