Ask a question for the next person to answer...

The lite-brite.

Have/do you ever consider running away?

nope (from what?)

D’you prefer analog or digital watches?

The one that will help my lazy self think and find a valid answer to this question.

clandenenator: I have…

k_twin: I like them both equally, but I have a digital watch.

Did you ever read Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes? Did you like it?

Yes, a long time ago. It’s not the type of book you like, you’re affected by it and appreciate the writing, sure!

Who d’you enjoy reading the most?

Who? Hmm. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, hands down, in English or in Spanish. He is amazing. I really like reading Cormac McCarthy, though, because of his syntax and disrespect of punctuation. J.K. Rowling. Cecily von Weigsner (if anybody knows what she writes, you’ll know what I’m talking about).

What do you think is the most powerful emotion you have ever derived from literature? Explain the emotion, the work, the why.

That’s a tough one as I’ve been affected by many books. I’ll have to go with either Catch 22 or 1984. The emotion, a type of cross between awe, anguish and hope (in the case of Catch 22). Why? There are some books that affect everyone who reads them. (these two are some of those books)

k_twin, ask a question!

oops. :o

D’you have a favourite place where you like to read? (to continue with the literary theme)

I really like to read at the beach, for some reason. It’s just kind of peaceful. I read Brave New World, 1984, and The Handmaid’s Tale while sitting on a sunny beach listening to the surf, and looking out at the horizon I just felt infinite and tiny and hopeful.

Do you prefer hardcover or paperback?

Hmm…probably paperback because the book is more malleable, relaxed, and comfortable.

What is your favorite line from the 1001 Ways to Live thread? Why?

The one about bass trombone cuz I wrote it!

What musical instrument do you think is the stupidest when bass-ized (e.g. bass flute, bass oboe, bass trumpet, contrabassoon, etc.)

bass contrabassoon… it sounds silly and it has bass in it 2x

Favorite James Bond Film?

I don’t know…to be honest I’ve never even watched an entire James Bond film.

I’m answering grahameezy’s question, though, because it was cool. Even though I’ve written like 20 of those, I picked my top 5 (none of which I wrote):
5. Go for a walk in the warm rain with a friend and talk philosophy, then, after the sun sets, go into the woods with no flashlight, sit at the base of a tree, and write a poem about what you hear.
22.Suntanning on the beaches of Mikanos, Greece…AHHH…with my ipod, cold drinks, and coconut sun tanning oil.
29. look up
42. Fall in love. Again.
130. Tie a wish to a balloon and let it go.

Those are awesome.

Favorite one of the Charlie’s Angels? (Drew, Lucy, Cameron) Why?

ummh, I guess it’s Cameron 'cause I like her name

how often do u use myspace?

I don’t have a MySpace…I’ve signed on to my friend’s maybe 3 times in my life to look at someone’s pictures. That’s it though.

Favorite person on Laguna Beach/The Hills and why?

Umm…the girls? I don’t watch either show.

Groenveld, I’m pretty certain there is no bass contrabassoon. Even if there was, it would be inaudible and too cumbersome to be played without a ladder.

What’s your favorite question on the princeton app?

Groenveld, my favorite James Bond movie is “Licence To Kill.” Dalton is much better than he was in “The Living Daylights”, plus he brought an edge to the role that was needed in order for the revenge storyline to work. Plus, Gladys Knight singing the title theme was amazing.

Who do you think will win the NCAA Basketball Championship?

I think UNC will win.

Also, “GoldenEye” is the best Bond film.

What’s your favorite question on the princeton app?

FortuneZero: No idea.

Clendenenator: I don’t really have a favorite question… I really don’t like some of them, though. Like, for example, the one that tells you to get your friends to describe you in three words.

If you choose do what you do based on your beliefs, and if your beliefs aren’t in your direct control, do you have free will?

Well, I would say no for most people, but I do have my own beliefs (different “religion”, morals, and politics than my family and all of my friends).

What’s your favorite question on the princeton app?
