Half an hour to an hour. More if I don’t have homework.

Do you usually brag/tell everyone about a good mark you got on a test, or a good score on the SAT/ACT (be honest)?

no. people ask me and i answer.
except for french lit, where i will NOT let anybody fail to acknowledge my grades… haha

which are cooler, geeks or nerds?

Geeks; they get things done.

Black or orange?

orange!

what is your favourite writing medium?

Poetry, for sure.

Who’s your favorite modern author?

Wow, hard choice. Ian McEwan or Mark Haddon. I really like mostly all British literature.

Who’s your favorite mid-20th-century-or-older author?

Tough one. I’d have to say it’s a toss-up between Tolkein (for his vision) and Joseph Conrad.

What’s your favorite Kurt Vonnegut book?

Cat’s Cradle - with Slaughterhouse-Five a fairly close second. But I basically love Vonnegut in general!

Do you have any “guilty pleasure”-type books?

Really cheesy thrillers that I read in a day and go to bed not able to remember the plot.

What is the most miserable place to live in America?

Worcester, MA. Sorry if I offended anyone who lives there, but every time I drive by that city I just have to look away. It is that bad.

What is your favorite part of The Wizard of Oz?

(This is SUCH a good question btlesgirl!!)

I love the first scene in Oz, when the house lands on the Wicked Witch of the West and all the little munchkins sing about it. So…full of glee! Gleeful, if you will

What is a movie that terrified you when you were little but is now…not scary at all? (I used to be mind-blowingly frightened of Snow White)

Thumbelina. I have absolutely no idea why, but when I saw it in the theater (I was maybe 4?) I ran out crying and demanded to be brought home. I seem to remember some terrifying giant bugs, but I watched it again a couple of years ago with my cousins and I just could not believe I had ever been scared.

Actually, a lot of movies fall into this category for me: I was terrified of Sleeping Beauty (well, Malificent, anyway), Snow White (I hid behind the couch every time the stepmother turned into the old witch), Ursula in the Little Mermaid, the hyenas in the Lion King (I made my mom fast forward through the song “Be Prepared” every time), and a couple of parts of Fantasia.

Basically I was quite a scaredy cat when I was little.

What is a movie that you like better when you watch it alone than when you watch it with others (or that you would never admit to others that you actually like)?

There’re lots of movies that I’d better watch alone, but not because I don’t wanna admit that I actually like them. I wanna watch these movies alone because I can’t help crying when I watch them. They are “Road to perdition”, “Life is beautiful”, “The Green Mile” to name a few; and recently “United 93” or “Click”…

No, there’re aren’t actually any movie that I wouldn’t admit to others that I like. :D

What is the movie that you’ve seen so many times? And how many?

ice age or remember the titans. probably 63521695432 times!! (and it makes me cry, too.)

what did you think of brokeback mountain?

LOVED IT! And of course, it helped that Heath Ledger and Jake Gylenhall (or however you spell his name) were in it. ![]()
I thought it was very moving (and the scenery was just beautiful!) and it deserved all of the hype.

What movie do you like should win the Best Picture Oscar this year?

Hmm…I haven’t seen many “Oscar-worthy” movies this year, but I’m going to have to say Blood Diamond. It was just…really good. And while a lot of people think The Good Shepherd will win/be nominated/whatever, I thought it was way too long and kind of dull. The cinematography saved it from being a complete loss, in my opinion.

What movie can you quote verbatim?

Grease, Finding Nemo, and (embarassingly enough) The Parent Trap (the new one–but only some scenes, I swear!).

Do you consider yourself a perfectionist?

umm, only in arts and crafts :P

what is the most disgusting soft drink? (eg. coca cola, pepsi, fanta etc)

Big Red. I don’t even know what they were trying to make it taste like.

Is one of your eyes noticeably bigger than the other?

I don’t think so…but my eyelashes on my left eye are longer, for some reason.

If you HAD to change one thing on your face, what would it be?
