31 on ACT, which is equivalent with a 2040 SAT.</p>
<p>He was accepted ED and told he was in the center of the pool they are looking for this year.</p>
<p>He didn’t get much of an award, so we will be paying the vast majority of the tuition. This was expected.</p>
<p>After visiting, interviewing and talking with schools, he seemed like a match for Stevens, RPI, Lehigh, and WPI. In fact, RPI started to recruit him after the visit. We didn’t pursue, but from what they were saying, RPI would have given more.</p>
<p>Cornell, although a reach, seemed to imply he had a good shot. He didn’t like Cornell or RPI. Both are in depressing areas of upstate NY. </p>
<p>Lehigh was his second choice.</p>
<p>He picked Stevens because he loved the location and liked the students he met on his visits. He attended ECOES (Stevens science summer camp). Every experience was positive.</p>
<p>He also liked the placement percentages and salary ranking in Payscale.com rankings (#5 in the country).</p>
