Hello, KittyBunny. I just graduated high school June 3. I wanted to go to an expensive university away from home so I could live in the dorms. But my parents wouldn’t allow me. So now I’m going to a local college, Miami Dade. Since dorms was at the top of my list for college hunting(and since this particular college do not have any dorms) I want to focus on other criterias on my list such as campus size, activities and clubs. Have you been in any clubs? What sports did you play? Did you work during this time? I would like a few bucks in my pocket but truely don’t feel I’ll be able to juggle college and a part time job. Also, I kind of feel embarrass to ask this question… but did you feel akward/embarrassed/ashamed that some of your friends were going to big nice ivy league/well known schools while you went to community college? Miami Dade is no longer a community college but it still bares the bad stigma of a community college to my peers. The adults “believe” that its a great choice(sometimes I think they are just being nice) while the kids joke about those whom go to the school becaus they got accepted to a “better” university or college. Roll eyes. I really wanted to live in a dorm becuse my mom is impossible. I feel I might miss this big COLLEGE experience now that its likely I might end up at Miami Dade College? Lastly, how did you survive those 3 years!!! College seem sooooo hard!! Why did you love your college? And what was the great experiences?
