The general rule of thumb is to start using the BB close to your test date. I’m taking the SAT’s on Jan 23. When should I start doing the tests from the BB?

Has there only been 2 versions of the BB? (for the current new sat) Are the different editions different in terms of tests?

Sorry for being ignorant but I’m not too familiar with abbreviations…
What is BB? :o I can see it’s some sort of prep book with different versions? No idea

I don’t get why you would take it near your test date…if you fail miserably, you will just suffer from anxiety. I don’t know. I didn’t use much of prep when I took the SAT. I just took the online practice tests from collegeboard (as part of homework for school) and that was basically it.

Use it now. You won’t run out of practice tests unless you are more than 10 weeks or so away from the test deadline. There’s 10 official SATs in the new Blue Book, there’s 3 online that you can print out (search around on these forums), and if you, for any reason, need to take over 13, you can always buy extra ones from princeton, barrons, or kaplan, although I wouldn’t recommend it because I’ve found so many typos in the writing section and critical reading section that it makes me doubt the validity of their answer choices. It’s best to do the official ones so you get used to the Collegeboard’s interpretation of things.

Ermm, simply searching for BB tests in CC won’t be very effective in finding the online 3 since BB is one of the most discussed books in the forum… Could you give some more details on the locations of the online tests? I already know of the 09-10 online test, but that’s it.

Study and practice when you are able to. If you can do more than one test a week, then do a couple. The more practice and exposure you have to what’s going to be on the test, the better you will do.
