So coaches know you are there for academics, not for sports.
But if you have done sports in HS and succeeded academically, you know how you have to organize your time to do both successfully.
You would take into account the fact that you have practice and not schedule classes/labs then.
I played soccer and basketball (back in the day) and had no issues.
