Truth: According to the profiles on the website…

Caucasians are in the minority at USC. Only 48% of students are caucasian (white). Roughly 28-30% of the students are Asian. There are many Pacific Islanders at SC, particularly Hawaiians. Students come from 100 countries. The country that sends the greatest number of students is China/Hong Kong as far as international students. Princeton Review rates SC as one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation.

From what I have seen in department videos, easily available on YouTube, is that SC students are extremely diverse. Parents on this board remark their “children” at the university have friends from all ethnic groups.

About 65% of the students are on financial aid. That was a figure from last year. With these uncertain times that figure may have gone up dramatically for 2009.

As at other private universities such as Vanderbilt, Duke, and SMU you will find many good looking students. SC has some as well. To think that nearly every student at SC is fit to be a model is ridiculous.

Go to the USC website: [USC - University of Southern California](http://www.usc.edu) . Click on Viterbi School of Engineering. On that site are posted many graduation snapshots. These are not “set up” photos. Decide for yourself.
