If she is student teaching in a large district, have her contact Human Resources in the district regarding a dress code.

A friends is a TA. She wears comfortable slacks, flat shoes and a nice blouse

Momma J, I like the perfect form pants from White House Black Market. They are comfortable, have stretch, not too low waisted and have a nice look. They have quite a few on sale for 39.99 and if you use code 14428 it will give you $20 off $80. They have them in regular, curvy and petite.

Another pant that I’ve heard recommended is the Banana Republic Sloan fit, although they are dry clean only and I wouldn’t buy them. I think the perform form from WHBM are just as nice and machine washable.

My D is not a teacher but she buys a lot of her work clothes from Target and Old Navy. She wears longer sweaters (she calls them grandpa sweaters) that cover her behind. She’s always cold so wears a light sweater all summer long.

Also my D would not consider khaki pants, so when she interned we bought black and gray pants with a few sweaters and higher (to her lol!) cami’s and that’s what she wore all summer. She was in an office so no bending over problems that i think your D would be more concerned with.
