<p>^Depends, some 5’s are better than others: A 5 on Computer Scince will look better than a 5 on Psychology. A 5 on Chemistry will probably look better than a 5 on Computer Science.</p>
<p>Overall, since the colleges don’t really, tangible have your scores on them (you self report them) I guess they count, but not too much.</p>
<p>For example if you’re applying to MIT a 5 may be almost expected. Other school, depending on your major, a 4 or 5 may not help you as much, as a 1 or 2 will hurt you. </p>
<p>Having said all that a 5 is just plain EPIC. I had a handful of 5 under my belt and I got accepted to Johns Hopkins. </p>
<p>I think the bottom line is that the AP’s and SAT II’s is what separates applicants, sometimes. If you can get a 5 def. go for it. </p>
