<p>This is really creepy, but about 9 hours after the Auburn girl was shot, a UNC Chapel Hill girl was shot and killed and her car apparently stolen.</p>

<p>The Auburn murder is another horrible and tragic occurrence–looking at the pictures of that beautiful, smiling girl on the Fox news Web site makes me want to cry.</p>
<p>I just saw the UNC story online. She sounded like an amazing girl. What an incredible loss. Were both these girls the victims of carjackings or robberies? What a waste of two promising young lives. And for what?</p>

<p>WSB-TV reported there has been an arrest in connection with Auburn freshman Lauren Burk, of Marietta. The arrest was reportedly made in Phenix City, Ala. after a high-speed chase. WSB did not identify the man who was arrested, but reported that a Phenix City investigator said that the man was found with evidence that could link him to the Burk case.</p>
<p>Phenix City police wouldn’t immediately confirm the report.</p>

<p>A Burk family spokeswoman Kathy Singleton said the family had not been notified of an arrest in Phenix City, but had heard the news through media reports Friday evening.</p>
<p>The guy who was arrested in Phenix City had apparently robbed an older woman in Newnan, GA earlier today, and is suspected of being involved in several other robberies. they said there was evidence in his car to link him to Lauren Burk, and will have a press conference in the morning.</p>

Police Arrested Courtney Lurell Lockhart and charged him with capital murder, attempted rape and a few other things. He is 23 years old.</p>
