Kiddo #2’s 7th grade social studies teacher got several things wrong on geography. Plenty on history, too. DS hated that he got things wrong on tests that were actually right and he couldn’t let go of it when she told him the land that is modern day France was never part of Gaul. (She insisted - incorrectly - it was the countries that now make up the UK.) It didn’t help that he brought in books in French to show her. We finally convinced him to just let all her mistakes go, which wasn’t easy for him.
She then refused to recommend him for 8th grade honors classes. Didn’t stop him from placing nationally on a history test and coming this close to moving on in the geography bee.
Three years later kiddo #3 got assigned the same teacher and we just threw our hands in the air.
