Autistic student seeking advice, should I keep trying to get instate tuition or give up?

It doesn’t sound like you can be considered as a South Carolina resident for tuition purposes at this point.
Here’s the link for Clemson’s residency requirements:

If you decide to re-enroll in a North Carolina school, after you look up the housing requirements for the schools you’re interested in (many have a one or two year requirement), be sure to check out if you might qualify for a “medical” single.
Most all schools have a few rooms set aside to fulfill ADA requirements for students who, for whatever their disability, cannot live with roommates.
Sometimes you can work this out with the Residential Life folks, but sometimes you may need to enlist the asistance of the Student Support or Disability Office.

Good luck.
